The Rape Crisis Center of Medina and Summit Counties is pleased to announce that we are currently enrolling individuals for our June 2008 volunteer training class.
Via a comprehensive three week training program, the Rape Crisis Center provides interested candidates with the skill set needed to assist the organization in meeting the immediate and long range needs of the people that we serve.
Your concern and dedication to survivor recovery, community education and outreach are a large part of our success in Medina and Summit counties. Our volunteers can be found throughout the community serving in the following ways:
Ø Rape Crisis Center Hotline – Our 24/7 hotline could not exist without the empathetic community members who respond to residents in crisis.Ø Community Education and Outreach – Volunteers can choose to assist with presentations to civic groups, schools, churches, businesses and other organizations interested in stopping rape through education.Ø Special Events and Fundraisers – Numerous events throughout the year are staffed by volunteers that assist in every dimension from promotion to folding leaflets.We look forward to meeting with you and discussing your interest in serving with the Rape Crisis Center of Medina and Summit counties.
